The ideal candidate is a talented, detail-oriented journalist with experience executing high-impact projects and fostering an appetite for collaboration. The Editor will also be an active partner and ally in the NENC’s diversity and inclusion efforts to strengthen our journalism.

The Editor will join a growing NENC team in 2022 that will include a digital/multimedia producer and visual journalist as we look to meet emerging audiences across platforms.

*Remote work in the New England region is available for this full-time position.

Essential job skills and functions include:

  • Excellent communication, editing craft and organizational skills
  • Sharp news judgment and deep commitment to accuracy and journalism ethics
  • Day-to-day management of NENC content-sharing among stations

The Editor would be employed by Connecticut Public, the lead station of the NENC. Other partner stations include NPR affiliates WBUR, WGBH, Vermont Public Radio, New Hampshire Public Radio, Maine Public, New England Public Media, WSHU and WCAI Cape and Islands.

We recognize candidates might not fit every qualification. If that’s you, we still encourage you to apply. Let us know about you and your talents.
