Now that he’s officially launched his bid for the Republican presidential nomination, former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld spent Tuesday campaigning in New Hampshire.

To kick off his challenge against President Trump, Weld toured some of the state’s classic diners, in Manchester and Nashua.

For now, Weld is the only Republican challenging Trump. He’s hoping the Granite State’s first-in-the-nation primary can help launch his long-shot bid.

“New Hampshire is a force multiplier,” he said Tuesday. “If you do well in the New Hampshire primary, that creates a kaboom effect on everything that comes after it.”
