With back-to-back political conventions in the deep of summer, you’d be forgiven for losing track which was in Cleveland and which was in Philadelphia.

In fact, if you strip away the politics, the conventions themselves actually have a few things in common — most notably that with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, both parties are nominating candidates unlike any other in modern history. WBUR’s Shannon Dooling gives us a snapshot comparison.
