The New England News Collaborative is telling stories of our connected and rapidly changing region.
The NENC is a 9-station consortium of public media newsrooms reporting top local and regional news stories from New England on issues such as climate change and the environment, health, racial equity, politics and the economy.
The mission of the New England News Collaborative is to produce impactful multimedia journalism that informs and empowers audiences to become change agents in our communities.
This vision will be achieved through a new initiative from the NENC to strengthen our story-sharing and center diversity as a means to our sustainability. This effort will include building new capacity in professional development, systems and research necessary for all NENC stations to excel in local and regional storytelling on different platforms, including radio, video and digital.
Five years from now, public media throughout New England will have doubled its current loyal audience, all while expanding the ways we tell stories to serve a wider range of listeners, readers, viewers and members who reflect New England’s diversity.
Our proud partners include these award-winning stations: Connecticut Public, WBUR, GBH, New Hampshire Public Radio, Vermont Public, Maine Public, New England Public Media, CAI Cape and Islands and WSHU.
